ABOUT US
Who We Are
The Association for Narrative Intelligence (ADIN) is a non-profit organization that supports the development of theory, research, and professional practice in narrative intelligence. We focus on evidence-based approaches to applying narrative intelligence methods across professional fields — corporations and business, education and upbringing, public and government organizations, and the creative industries.
Membership in the association enables researchers, practitioners, and organizations to build international and cross-cultural collaboration aimed at advancing the use of narrative intelligence and its impact on shaping more effective, conscious, and responsible citizens of a global society.
What We Do
The association’s purpose is to spread the application of narrative-intelligence-development methods in human activity: bringing together experts and researchers, disseminating knowledge and publishing books, regulating training in its development methods, and organizing forums where specialists and research groups can exchange information and coordinate their work.
ADIN develops and regulates the methodology for developing narrative intelligence, described in a series of publications on applied narratology and narrative intelligence development.
ADIN encourages educational seminars and programs, regulates professional training, and provides opportunities for collaboration and international cooperation. This work allows narrative intelligence research to continue and improve across different cultures, countries, and fields.
The association also serves as a resource for organizations, governments, and other institutions that apply narrative intelligence to improve people’s living conditions, social systems, and individual and collective well-being.
Seminars, Programs, and Assessments
Our seminars are a global forum where educators and consultants can discuss the latest developments in the theory, assessment, and practical application of narrative-intelligence-development methods across professions. Specialists in education, management, and organizational consulting can obtain certification through CIN (Centres for Narrative Intelligence). Our programs combine evidence-based knowledge and narrative-intelligence models with practical exercises focused on self-awareness, personal narrative development, and social engagement.
The association also serves as a resource for organizations, governments, and other institutions that apply narrative intelligence to improve people’s living conditions, social systems, and individual and collective well-being.
ADIN offers four interconnected instruments of narrative diagnostics. Each measures a distinct category of a person’s or team’s narrative reality. Together they provide a complete picture — from an individual’s narrative profile to the living narrative space of an entire organization.
Community
Membership in ADIN is open to anyone interested in the development of narrative intelligence. Specialists who complete training and certification apply their knowledge and skills in commercial, educational, organizational, consulting, and research fields.
Membership provides access to ADIN events, as well as specialized professional training, informational resources, and the association’s resources.
ADIN and Youth
We don’t just tell stories — we create them.
Young people worldwide face an unprecedented crisis of mental well-being that calls for an urgent, comprehensive response from parents, educators, and community leaders everywhere.
Our seminars and initiatives help children and young people develop narrative intelligence through engaging, meaningful activities aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals. Books on narrative intelligence, translated into several languages, inspire both educators and parents.
Drawing on 25 years of practice and research, we know that solving complex problems today requires narrative skills more than technical knowledge: the ability to communicate, collaborate, and inspire.
Through our planned ‘Space of Narratives’ program, we invest in the mental health and narrative intelligence of young activists so they can scale their efforts and harness collective strength to address civilizational challenges.
We welcome collaboration with leading organizations worldwide to build young people’s capacity for narrative well-being, equip them with essential life skills, and nurture resilient, empathetic future leaders.
“What matters is not what is being done of us, but what we do ourselves with what has been done of us.”
